Your ride pays for
an after-school seat

GR Mobile Karaoke was started by Will McFadden, who also runs Save A Life A Day Outreach here in Grand Rapids. Fare money goes to the nonprofit: reading and math tutoring, mentorship, summer camp, and financial literacy for kids ages 8 to 24.

Show's letting out.
Beat the crowd.

One call and a cart comes to you. No app to download, no surge pricing, no waiting on a corner wondering if your driver actually took the job.

Planning a night out?

Reserve the cart itself for 90 minutes of cruising, singing, and sightseeing — not just a ride from A to B.

Who's driving

About us

A karaoke cart and a nonprofit, running together right here in Grand Rapids.

GR Mobile Karaoke & Transportation logo

It's a real vehicle,
not a novelty

Each cart is a registered low-speed vehicle, plated and street-legal in Michigan, with seatbelts, lights, and a driver who does this for a living.

Under the canopy: a full karaoke rig, a wireless mic, color-changing party lights, and open-air seating for your whole group. You are outside, in the summer air, moving through downtown, singing fantastically and loudly. That is the entire point.

Why not just walk?

Because the lot you found was fourteen minutes away. Because it started raining. Because someone wore the wrong shoes. Because it is 11:40 at night and you would rather not walk that stretch alone.

A short ride gets you a driver who knows the streets, a seat you didn't have to fight for, and a song on the way. You show up to dinner still in a good mood, and you leave the show without the long quiet walk that ruins the night.

Where we run

We cover a set service area around downtown Grand Rapids. Tap the button below to see our service map.

Save A Life
A Day Outreach

Will McFadden founded SALAD to give Grand Rapids kids somewhere to be and someone in their corner. The drop-in center on Madison Ave runs after-school reading and math help, tutoring, mentorship, a summer camp, and financial literacy workshops with Lake Michigan Credit Union.

Every fare from this cart goes back into that work. In 2027 he plans to put licensed teens behind the wheel and pay them for it.

What a ride costs

Priced fair,
not fixed

Cost depends on distance and how long the ride takes — we'll never surprise you with a number. Tell us where you're headed on the phone and we'll quote you before you get in, and we work with anyone who's in need.

Call or text us

Tell us where you are and how many are riding. A real person picks up. If you would rather not talk, text works the same way.

We pull up to you

Your driver meets you at the spot you named, confirms the group, and gives you the total before you get in. Nothing is charged until you have that number.

Get in and pick a song

Mic is already on. Lights are already going. Ride to your door, your table, or your car, and finish the chorus in the parking lot if you need to.

When we're out

We run most nights, but availability shifts night to night. Call or text and we'll tell you straight away if a cart's free.

Not looking for a quick ride?

If you want the cart itself for a while — a birthday, a bachelorette night, just cruising with friends — that's a different booking.

Settling up

Pay

Four ways to settle up. Pick whatever's easiest.

Check the total first

Confirm the amount with your driver before you send anything. Once a payment goes through, it cannot be pulled back.

Pay with Cash App

Goes to $1SALAD — the nonprofit's account.

Pay with Square

Use Square to pay via credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

Prefer cash? Your driver accepts that too — no app required.

Splitting it?

Nobody wants to do division at midnight. Punch in the total and the number of riders and we will hand you the per-person number.

Where it goes

Fares fund Save A Life A Day Outreach: the after-school program, the summer camp, and the mentorship work on Madison Ave. You did not just buy a ride.
